About
I recently graduated from the Bookbinding program (2023) at the North Bennet Street School in Boston, MA. Originally from Northern California and a boat in the Southern Pacific Ocean, I started to explore bookbinding while at Oberlin College for my undergraduate degrees.
A desire to work with historical objects led me to an MA in Museum Studies from the University of San Francisco and a position at the American Bookbinders Museum. While there, I made models for the exhibit floor, curated exhibits on bookbinding and book history, and participated as an artist in the Hand Bookbinders of California's annual membership exhibition. While the public facing museum work was enjoyable, I was drawn more towards working with the collection and sought opportunities to work more closely with books and objects on paper.
